The first Arts + Minds Film Project, with filmmaker Colm Walsh, concluded this week with a screening of 5 shorts created by project participants. The project took place over an 8-week period in Camden Palace Arts Centre, Cork. Family, friends and colleagues joined participants for the screening. Comments from participants included “I didn’t know I could be confident or creative until I saw it on screen” and “It was really positive, it showed me a different aspect of myself”.
A+M would like to thank all who came along to support the event, the HSE Cork Mental Health Services and Cork Arts and Health Programme. This was participants’ very first experience of filmmaking. We are delighted to be able to include the short film From Darkness Into Light (6min) below.
