Opportunity for a professional artist to create new and ambitious work in a mental health context

As many readers will know, HSE Cork Mental Health Service is developing a new 50-bed acute adult mental health inpatient unit on the Cork University Hospital (CUH) campus. The new unit will replace the existing 46-bed unit known as South Lee Adult Mental Health Unit (SLMHU), which is located elsewhere on the CUH campus. As part of this development the HSE has secured funding under the government Per Cent for Art Scheme to commission artwork for the new unit. Arts + Minds is delighted to be working alongside our colleagues in SLMHU, CUH and Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts, to manage this artist commission.
