World Mental Health Day takes place on October 10 each year, and related events take place throughout the month.

On Monday 9 October, The Leeside Serotones, a group of HSE Cork mental health staff, service users and friends, that developed as part of an Arts + Minds Choral Group, will perform in University Hospital Waterford as part of the Well Festival of Arts and Wellbeing (1pm). There are lots of great events taking place as part of The Well Festival, which runs from 9 – 15 October, so be sure to check it out if you are in the area.

On Tuesday October 10, the new HSE Centre for Wellness and Creativity in Skibbereen, known as and located at 49 North Street, will host free music sessions, including the Claddagh Rouges and Gamelan Spréacha Geala (1pm and 7pm).

On Saturday October 14, the West Cork Feel Good hosts the Live Life and Sing at the Maritime Hotel, Bantry (8pm). The event celebrates life, singing and community in West Cork and includes Bantry Community Choir, John Spillane, The Claddagh Rogues, Muintir Bhaire Men’s Choir, Bantry Folk Group and more.
